My wood source:  Wenge wood
It's a tropical timber, very dark and rich color with a distinctive figure and a strong partridge bird wood pattern. The wood is dence and hard, sought after for chess boards. Color/Appearance: medium brown, sometimes with a reddish or yellowish hue and black streaks.
